Smoothies on the go!
Below I listed two smoothie jar recipes that are perfect for a beach day, picnic, or just a super cool breakfast/lunch on the go.
Makes 2 Smoothie Jars
Blend:
1 handful fresh rinsed spinach
1 banana
2 handfuls blueberries
1 handful strawberries
A sprinkle of flax seeds
About 1 cup water
Top with:
1 small handful granola
A few blueberries
A quick tip: I like to slice fresh fruit and freeze it for smoothies in order to avoid the hassle of using ice. If you're using fruit that's not frozen, just add ice to the recipe and then blend!
Peachy Smooth
Makes 2 Smoothie Jars
Blend:
1 handful fresh rinsed spinach
1 banana
2 peaches (pitted and sliced)
1 handful strawberries
A sprinkle of flax seeds
About 1 cup water
Top with:
1 small handful granola
A sprinkle of chia seeds
A sprinkle of shredded coconut
A few slices banana
Both Berry Fresh and Peachy Smooth (which I just named on the spot while typing this, by the way) are my go-to smoothie recipes that I make constantly, whether it's in a jar or not. They're both super quick and easy, especially if you freeze your fruit ahead of time. You can always top your smoothie jars with lots of other toppings like cacao nibs or walnuts. Get creative! The more on top the better! Mix together all the toppings with the smoothie and enjoy!
They look delicious! I'm back on the green smoothies to lose a bit of holiday weight- I've never tried them with peach though! Will add them to my shopping list.
