Healthy Vegan Chocolate Snacks

The vegan chocolate dreams are made of

I'm not much of a snacker. Not by choice... no way. I would snack all day if I could. I'm not much of a snacker because vegan snack foods aren't easy to come by. Sadly, you can't just walk into any grocery store and go down the cookie isle and find a large variety of vegan cookies (unless that grocery store is Whole Foods). You can, however, search on amazon and in the tiny vegan section of you're local grocery store until you find a nice collection of chocolatey vegan snack foods, which is exactly what I did.

Lenny & Larry's Complete Chocolate Chip Cookie

If you're into giant, soft, and delicious chocolate chip cookies that also happen to be vegan, then Lenny & Larry's chocolate chip cookie is a necessity. Though I can't finish this cookie on my own in one sitting, it is a great snack, especially one to share with everyone around you.

Hail Merry Miracle Dark Chocolate Tart

I was instantly interested in the Hail Merry tarts when I first saw them in the grocery store because when do you ever see pre-made tarts in the refrigerator section, let alone vegan tarts?? This specific tart is extremely rich and extremely tasty. It's the perfect dessert in my opinion.

This dark chocolate bar is one of my favorites. It's kind of like a healthier version of a rice crispy treat covered in dark chocolate. It contains 10 grams of protein per bar, so I like to snack on this one after the gym or any other time I'm peckish, to be honest.

This bar is extremely tasty, just not when you're expecting it to taste like your typical chocolate chip cookie. It's made mainly from dates, so when you expect it to taste like a date version of a chocolate chip cookie, it tastes a whole lot better. The best part of this bar... it's made form only 4 ingredients. Cashews, dates, chocolate chips, and sea salt. That's it.

Greyston Bakery Brownie

I first heard about Greyston Bakery when I was writing the Vegan Ben & Jerry's post, since Ben & Jerry's uses this bakery's brownies for their ice creams. So when I saw this vegan brownie in Whole Foods, I had to get it. It tastes just as good as it does in the ice cream. Now I just have to visit the actual bakery...
Greyston Bakery also has a really cool Open Hiring system that's worth a read on their website.

  1. These look so yummy! I would love to give them a try since as I'm trying to cut out dairy and it can be a little hard to find treats without milk products!

  2. This is such an amazing article. Packaging is must be important for the chocolates. Because it is very sensitive in the quality.
