Seed Phytonutrients

The best smelling skincare duo around...

Seed Phytonutrients was first put on my radar over the Christmas holiday when my mom kindly gifted me Seed's Facial Cleanser and Lotion Duo. I'm usually pretty good at discovering vegan and cruelty-free brands on my own, but somehow Seed slipped through the cracks.

Seed Phytonutrients is 100% vegan and cruelty-free

Firstly, what in the world does phytonutrients mean? It's easy to pretend like you understand big science-y words and if I was to use middle school deduction skills I'd assume something along the lines of plants and it's nutrients, which isn't saying much because nutrients is in the word. And after a quick Google search, I discovered that I wasn't far off. Maybe some good came out of middle school after all? Phytonutrients are the chemicals created by plants that help keep the plant healthy.

After reading a bit about this company on their website, I discovered this brand is both fairly new and fairly local. I live in South Jersey, so anything born out of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware is considered local, and Seed was born in PA. That made me even more intrigued. Seed's mission is "to plant the seeds of health, well-being, and sustainability for future generations".  I mean, what else can you ask for from a skincare brand?

Now onto the actual product. The facial cleanser and lotion both smell incredible. It smells so good, it's hard to believe that these products are made from all natural ingredients. I've been getting more into cleansers recently, so I was super pumped to try Seed's cleanser... and I absolutely love it. It's really gentle and the smell is, again, incredible. The moisturizer wasn't my fave, but I'm veeerrrrry picky when it comes to moisturizers, so that's not to say this isn't the perfect facial lotion for someone else. The scent of these products alone is enough for me to want to try out all the other products Seed has to offer.

Seed Phytonutrients products are also available on Amazon and at Sephora!
